Léonard COLIN

I have over 10 years' experience in supporting and including people with disabilities. I have a PhD in Education Sciences from the Université Lumière Lyon II in the Education Culture et Politique ECP laboratory attached to the EPIC 485 doctoral school. My research focuses on : Instituer l'inclusion scolaire en Haïti : Réflexion sur le transfert de savoir-faire “ inclusif ” consists in addressing the themes of inclusive education, know-how transfer, the educational management information system (SIGE), students with disabilities and the appropriation of management tools and educational models. I'm a self-starter, organized, rigorous, a good listener, very observant, smiling, a good communicator and reliable. I offer my services in auditing, coaching and training on subjects related to accessibility, disability and inclusion.

I'm also a university lecturer. I teach at UNIKA University, Université Publique de la Grand'Anse (UPGA), Université Nouvelle Grand'Anse (UNOGA), the Faculty of Social Work and Social Justice (FTSJS) at the Université Épiscopale d'Haïti (UNEPH). I am assistant director of research at the FTSJS in Haiti.

I co-founded two local associations in Haiti, the Jeunes organisés pour une société émancipée (JOSE) in 2010, which I left in 2016, and the Organisme de consultation, de formation et de recherche sur l'accessibilité universelle et l'inclusion (OCONFOR) in 2016. I currently hold the position of Chairman of the Board and also, the position of Communications Director. Both associations work for the inclusion of people with disabilities.

My Diplomas

I'm a doctor in education at the Université Lumière Lyon II in the ECP Education Culture and Politics laboratory, part of the EPIC 485 doctoral school. I obtained a Master 2 in 2017, on inclusive practice, accessibility and support for audiences with special educational needs at the Institut National Supérieur pour l'Éducation des Jeunes Handicapés et les enseignements adaptés (INSHEA) in France.

Curious by nature, I'm constantly seeking to update my knowledge of disability through certifications and online training.
